About the RoleWe are looking for dynamic, results-driven international business leaders to drive export growth across key global regions. As an Assistant Manager – Exports, you will blend strategic planning with hands-on execution to expand our regional footprint, manage distributor networks, lead customer support teams, and ensure global trade compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Market Expansion & Strategy: Formulate and execute region-specific export strategies to identify new business opportunities, acquire key clients, and expand distribution networks.
- Distributor & Client Management: Build long-term relationships with international distributors and clients. Conduct quarterly performance reviews, manage onboarding, and resolve operational escalations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and allocate work for the International Customer Support team to hit performance KPIs.
- Operational Excellence: Supervise quotation turnarounds, inquiry response times, commercial terms, and proforma invoice accuracy.
- Trade & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance for hazardous chemical exports, End-Use Declarations (EUDs), controlled chemicals, and Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA/IMDG).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with QA/QC, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Regional Openings & Territory Focus
Role 1: Asst. Manager – APAC Region- Focus: Deep market expertise across Asia-Pacific territories, regional distributor management, and market penetration.
Role 2: Asst. Manager – EU / Americas / CIS Region- Focus: High-value international client management and strict adherence to EU/Americas regulatory standards and hazardous chemical import compliance.
Role 3: Asst. Manager – MENA & Sub-Saharan Africa Region- Focus: Business development, distributor network scaling, and export operations across Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan markets.
What We're Looking For- 7 to 13 years of hands-on experience in International Business/Exports, with 3+ years leading a team.
- Proven track record of managing international distributors and clients within one of the target regions (APAC, EU/Americas/CIS, or MENA/Sub-Sahara).
- Expertise in international trade regulations, hazardous chemical compliance, and Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA/IMDG).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Hands-on proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility for international business travel as required.
Education: Bachelor's in Science (Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmacy) | Master's in International Business / Management preferred
