Assistant Manager - Exchange Collateral

Job purpose: The Exchange Collateral team plays a pivotal role in managing collateral requirements across three distinct business units: Retail Broking Group, Institutional Equities, and Clearing and Custodies within the Capital Markets business. This outline delineates the roles and responsibilities within each business unit, encompassing various tasks related to collateral management, fund deployment, and financial operations.

Roles and responsibilities:

Collateral Management:

FD Investment and Bank Guarantee:

1. Manage FDR portfolio.
2. Ensuring timely creation, liquidation & renewals of FDR's.
3. Tracking and utilization of FD Interest, preparing month-end closing file for FD interest.
4. Ensuring timely placement of exchange favoring fixed deposits on exchanges.
5. Facilitate the creation of bank guarantees on exchanges to meet collateral requirements.
6. Projecting income and expense of the collaterals for various business decisions.
7. Closely monitoring FD/BG maturity & its actionable.

Daily Cash Infusion:

1. Ensure daily infusion of cash on exchanges to meet minimum collateral obligations.
2. Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support trading activities.

Banking Operations:

1. Maintaining strong coordination & cordial relations with Bankers.
2. On daily basis need to Coordinate with Bankers.
3. Keeping update on Banking policies.
4. Negotiating interest rates with Bankers.
5. Ensuring smooth transactions of fund movements.
6. Managing Intraday requirements depending upon the business needs.

Audit Handling -

1. Handling internal & Statutory audits.
2. Ensuring timely fulfilling the audit data requirements.
3. Arranging quarterly audit confirmations from Bankers for FD/BG balances.

Regulatory / exchanges reporting & data requirements -

a. Ensuring process flow are followed as per regulatory requirements.

b. Accuracy in reporting regulatory data within stipulated timeframe

c. Keeping update of critical circulars issued by regulators / exchanges.

Data Management & MIS reporting –

1. Ensuring all FDR & BG related data are accurately captured in respective systems.
2. Publishing various MIS as per the business needs.
3. Ensuring timely closing of Month end, Quarterly & Year end activities.

Resource Management –

Managing resources / Support staff efficiently for ensuring timely & smooth functioning of all Operational activities.

Process automation & enhancement –

Implementation of new systems/software for process enhancements. Performing UAT testing of the same.
