Role Description:
The Assistant Manager (Event Management & Community Engagement) will support the planning, coordination, and execution of events, programmes, and outreach activities that advance the Academy's mission. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing event logistics, vendor and partner coordination, venue and technical arrangements, and on-site operations for seminars, workshops, conferences, and community initiatives. The role involves developing engagement plans, maintaining relationships with stakeholders and community partners, and supporting marketing and communications efforts, including content for digital channels and outreach materials. The Assistant Manager will assist with budget tracking, post-event evaluation, reporting, and process improvement to ensure high-quality and impactful activities. This is a temporary, on-site role based in Singapore.
Qualifications
- Experience in event planning and management, including logistics coordination, vendor liaison, and on-site operations.
- Skills in community engagement and stakeholder management, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and participants.
- Competence in communications and marketing, such as drafting outreach materials, supporting digital content, and promoting events.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities, including time management, multitasking, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in common office and collaboration tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, online meeting platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages relevant to Singapore's context are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and to interact with diverse communities in an inclusive manner.
- Relevant degree or diploma in fields such as communications, events management, public relations, business, or a related discipline; experience in healthcare, education, or research settings is beneficial.
