Manager - EPC Procurement

Position Summary

The role will serve as Strategic procurement Manager responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain for Solar EPC and BESS projects, including global sourcing of major equipment and sub-contractor management. This role drives project success through rigorous negotiation, meticulous cost-tracking, and seamless cross-functional coordination with engineering and finance teams. You will ensure timely delivery through expert management of logistics, customs, and supplier performance while adhering to strict quality and ESG standards.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Implement procurement strategies for Solar EPC and BESS projects
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities including vendor prequalification, RFQs, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract finalization
  • Able to source / get quotes for major equipment such as solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, transformers, cables, SCADA systems, and BESS components (battery cells, PCS, EMS, containers, HVAC, fire suppression)
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, construction, and finance teams to align procurement plans with project schedules
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, delivery timelines, and contractual terms
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage expediting, logistics, and delivery schedules
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives, value engineering, and alternative sourcing strategies
  • Manage import/export documentation, logistics, and customs clearance where applicable
  • Track procurement budgets, savings, risks, and prepare MIS and management reports
