Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Growth
  2. Drive business growth by identifying key markets, planning promotions, and executing activations based on primary data analysis of the identified market territory.
  3. Account Management & Retention
  4. Focus on mining existing customer accounts and driving growth through effective account management and retention strategies.
  5. New Business Acquisition
  6. Acquire new business opportunities, ensuring profitability and meeting budgeted sales targets.
  7. Growth Opportunity Identification
  8. Identify growth opportunities through market knowledge and by meeting new customers to broaden the opportunity list and develop new accounts.
  9. Sales Forecasting & Planning
  10. Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales goals and develop strategic plans to ensure long-term and short-term growth.
  11. Market Mapping & Intelligence
  12. Maintain market intelligence on customers within the region, mapping the market and tracking customer trends.
  13. Customer Relationship Management
  14. Build a deep understanding of customer business priorities, challenges, and initiatives, translating these into potential business opportunities.
  15. Account Relationship Building
  16. Establish and nurture value-added relationships within the core account team and customer domain.
  17. Customer Onboarding
  18. Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients and manage the full customer lifecycle post-onboarding.
  19. Billing & Payment Collection
  20. Oversee billing processes and ensure payment collection from customers.
  21. Target Customer Focus
  22. Develop and maintain a prioritized list of target customers and focus sales efforts on penetrating and expanding these accounts.
  23. Tariff Management
  24. Negotiate, maintain, and update tariffs on the technology-backed tariff management shipment booking portal.
  25. Senior Management Relationship
  26. Build and maintain relationships with senior management at client businesses to facilitate decision-making actions needed for achieving desired results.
  27. Contract Finalization & SLAs
  28. Finalize contracts with key clients, ensuring establishment of SLAs for fulfilling each client's long-term goals.
  29. Sales & Relationship Building
  30. Contribute to generating new sales, building long-lasting relationships with clients.
  31. Customer Reviews
  32. Conduct Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) for critical customers.
  33. Market & Competitor Monitoring
  34. Monitor and report on market trends and competitor activities, providing actionable insights and relevant reports.
  35. Senior Management Consultation
  36. Present business trends to senior management with recommendations for developing new services and products.

Qualifications & Competencies

Education & Experience:

  • MBA with 5-8 years of experience in sales.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills to develop and foster professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence organizational outcomes across various boundaries.
  • Excellent networking, influencing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership.
