Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Engineering to head the engineering department at our new naturopathy wellness luxury center in Uttarakhand. The role involves overseeing maintenance, utilities, and engineering operations to ensure smooth functioning of the property, while aligning with CGH Earth's sustainability and wellness ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Department Leadership: Lead the engineering team as Head of Department, ensuring efficient operations across all technical areas.
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Energy Management: Implement energy-efficient practices and monitor utility consumption to support sustainability goals.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise engineering staff, fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers for timely service and procurement.
- Guest Support: Respond promptly to guest-related engineering issues to ensure comfort and satisfaction.
- Budget Control: Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and cost control measures effectively.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in engineering management, preferably in luxury hospitality, hospitals, or wellness resorts.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy-efficient technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering is preferred.
