Job Purpose
The role is part of the Central Manufacturing Excellence (ME) – Centre of Excellence team and is responsible for driving instrumentation, automation, and process control excellence across manufacturing sites. The incumbent will support digitalization, process stability, and automation-led improvement initiatives across plants.
Roles & Responsibilities
Project & Engineering Excellence
- Support greenfield and brownfield manufacturing projects from an electrical engineering standpoint including design reviews, load calculations, power distribution systems, and commissioning
- Coordinate with EPC partners, OEMs, and internal engineering teams during execution, FAT/SAT, installation, and commissioning
- Support electrical scope of CAPEX projects, including budgeting, execution tracking, and post-implementation reviews
- Ensure smooth handover of projects to plant teams with complete documentation and training support
Manufacturing Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Support deployment of Manufacturing Excellence frameworks such as TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement
- Participate in reliability improvement initiatives using tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Pareto Analysis, and Failure Trend Analysis
- Support initiatives to improve equipment availability, energy efficiency, and electrical system uptime
- Assist in standardization of electrical systems, safety practices, and maintenance philosophies across plants
Data, Safety & Compliance
- Collect, analyze, and report key electrical KPIs related to availability, breakdowns, energy consumption, and safety
- Support development of dashboards and structured reporting for ME reviews
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, electrical safety standards, and internal audit protocols
- Support implementation of energy conservation and sustainability initiatives
Educational Qualification
BE / BTech – Electrical Engineering
