About the Role:

The Global Product Marketing team at Emeritus is seeking a highly detail-oriented and versatile

Assistant Manager — Editorial to support and elevate the editorial quality across a wide range

of program marketing collaterals.

This role sits at the intersection of content and copyediting — ensuring that all assets are

accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand and partner guidelines.

You will work closely with the editorial lead to execute the editorial process across multiple

programs, schools, and geographies. You will navigate different style guides (AP stylebook,

Chicago Manual of Style, and in-house variants) and regional language conventions (US, UK,

and Canadian English) while managing multiple assets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the editorial review process for marketing assets across programs and partner

schools, ensuring adherence to workflows, timelines, and quality standards

  • Edit and proofread a wide range of marketing collaterals, including brochures, landing

pages, emails, organic content, social posts, press releases, and supporting materials

  • Apply sound editorial judgment to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all

content while adhering to partner school guidelines and Emeritus brand standards

  • Seamlessly switch between multiple style guides and language conventions depending

on the program and geography

  • Use AI-assisted tools thoughtfully to support editing workflows, improve efficiency, and

assist with content refinement

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Content

Marketing, Design, and Proofing

  • Follow and contribute to editorial best practices, templates, and quality benchmarks
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery without compromising

quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in editing, copyediting, or content quality roles (preferably in

marketing, publishing, or digital content environments)

  • Exceptional command of English grammar, syntax, and usage
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt tone and style across brands, audiences, and geographies
  • Strong familiarity with US, UK, and Canadian English nuances
  • Experience working with multiple style guides
  • Working knowledge of AI-powered writing and editing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude,

Copy.ai, or similar)

  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted content for accuracy, consistency, and

compliance with guidelines

  • Meticulous attention to detail — you catch what others miss
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environmen
