Assistant Manager (Digital Transformation & Business Applications)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to manage digital transformation and business applications. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, identifies issues before they become problems, and actively works with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives. This role is suited for an individual who is resourceful, self-driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities
• Recommend AI, RPA and digital transformation solutions
• Develop business requirements and solution proposals based on operational needs
• Develop and maintain internal business applications, integrations and APIs
• Manage databases, SQL queries and backend services to ensure system performance
• Develop AI-powered and RPA solutions using platforms such as OpenAI, Copilot, Power Automate and UiPath
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify suitable business automation use cases
• Lead digital transformation projects from solution design through deployment and post-implementation review
• Coordinate POC, UAT, pilot and production rollout, managing project progress, risks and stakeholders
• Provide application support and troubleshooting, including root cause analysis

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business application development, automation or digital transformation
• Experience leading cross-functional digital transformation or automation projects
• Demonstrated ability to analyse business processes, identify improvement opportunities and deliver practical technology solutions with minimal supervision
• Hands-on experience with Power Automate, UiPath or equivalent RPA platforms
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies such as OpenAI, Claude, Microsoft Copilot or AI Builder
