About the Role
To support the solution Engineering function for FMT Pumps Group, sustenance engineering, streamline engineering for new product launches and localizations into sustenance engineering
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage engineered orders for rotating equipment (pumps), skid packaging, and controlled valves.
- Work with the Project Management team for handling EPC Projects and related project engineering deliverables.
- Co-ordinate with BU, understanding the design, process, documents, etc., and transferring the knowledge to the IDEX India team.
- Align BU and, if required, get the design, process, and documents changed as per the Indian context.
- Understand the testing and test setup requirements for the product from BU and guide the operation team to design and set up the same.
- Decode project specifications, design philosophy, and implement them in skid package design.
- Prepare the GAD and P&ID for the skid package and have proficiency in design software - Solidworks, AutoCAD.
- Prepare and evaluate bought-out specifications.
- Manage product structure (BOM) - look after BOM creations and corrections for the FMT Pumps Group.
- Proficient in preparing part 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings in design software - Solidworks.
- Ensure the effective implementation of the engineering document control system for managing product drawings, technical specifications, and data for running products.
- Work with cross-functional teams - operations, application engineering, sourcing, projects for design standardization of product line and bought outs.
- Have good knowledge of manufacturing processes along with GD&T for manufacturing.
- Work with the quality team for establishing the testing/qualification documents for the product line.
- Work with operations & NPD Engineering Team to establish the documentation of handover of any new product line.
- Participate in IDEX operating model processes like - DM call, MBR, GDP.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in design software - Solidworks, AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and GD&T.
- Ability to decode project specifications and design philosophy.
- Experience in managing product structure (BOM).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with testing and qualification documentation.
- Experience in handling EPC projects.
