Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Technical Publications Engineer, you will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Define and/or implement business rules to developpe Technical Publications of a range of Electrolysers
  • Creation of data modules, validation, compiling and publishing in accordance with S1000D process
  • The establishment and dissemination of technical specification requirements as applicable to technical documentation (User Manuals, Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Part catalogue, etc.).
  • Monitoring technical publication inputs and activities from the subcontractors through to the internal/external (Engineering, Product Support, Prime Contractor, End Client...) teams.
  • Verification and Validation of the technical documentation with the various program stakeholders.
  • Monitoring of changes, corrections and amendments to the respective technical documents.
  • Ensure the necessary data to support both internal and external JCH2 / IPS customer s program milestones.
  • Coordinate with program stakeholders involved in these activities, both internally and externally.
  • Oversee all aspects of technical documentation creation, including team member review, verification and production release
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups representing Technical Publications throughout the company when required.
  • Provide regular updates on project status to project team and management. Proactively identify potential project risks with mitigation actions.

Required Education:

  • B.E. (Mechanical /Electrical/Instrumentation )

Required Work Experience:

  • Functional knowledge of S1000D processes is a plus
  • Proficient in English written, knowledge of Simplified Technical English (STE). French language knowledge is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years experience in creating technical documentation from complex software and hardware or firmware products.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc...
  • Good facilitator, team spirit, organized, rigorous, available, motivated by the achievementandhave the sense of initiative.
  • The spirit of synthesis in developing the data module is required.
  • Occasional travel and fieldwork including international travel to be expected.
  • Experience in the Oil Gas industry would be considered advantageous
