Job Description

Role Overview:

The role is responsible for managing financial reporting, month-end closing, MIS, budgeting, variance analysis, and statutory compliance. The role will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial information for management decision-making, while strengthening financial controls and supporting audits.

The position requires a Chartered Accountant with around 2 years of relevant experience, with strong understanding of Ind AS, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and internal controls.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing

  • Drive the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Ind AS and applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy of account reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and other closing entries.
  • Prepare periodic MIS and financial reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors and provide required schedules, explanations, and supporting documents.
  • Identify and resolve accounting/reporting issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

MIS, Budgeting & Variance Analysis

  • Prepare and consolidate annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in coordination with business teams.
  • Conduct Budget vs. Actual analysis and identify key revenue, cost, and profitability variances.
  • Prepare management reports highlighting key financial trends, deviations, and business drivers.
  • Support management in developing cost-control initiatives and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Track business performance against budgets and forecasts and provide actionable financial insights.
  • Assist in financial modelling and scenario analysis, as required.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance relating to GST and TDS, including return filing, reconciliations, and related documentation.
  • Support compliance with applicable provisions of the Companies Act and other financial/statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders on tax and regulatory matters.
  • Monitor changes in applicable accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the business.

Internal Controls & Revenue Assurance

  • Establish, monitor, and strengthen internal financial controls, particularly around revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Review revenue-related processes, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements to minimize financial and operational risks.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of SOPs and financial control mechanisms.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • CA Mandatory with 2 years of experience
  • High level of MS Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and process orientation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, high integrity levels, stress management, and a confident, assertive, problem-solving approach.
