Job Purpose

This Position is for Basantnagar Cement Works, Telangana

Position - Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager - Mines Operation

Job Band - 10

Professional Qualifications: B.Tech Mining Engineering

Essential: First class mines manager certificate

Responsible for integrating safety management, mine planning and geology, vocational training and statutory compliance, including coordination with DGMS & IBM for timely regulatory submissions

Supportive Actions

Safety Management & Zero harm

  • Drive a Zero Harm safety culture through Implementation safety management systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, mock-drills and accident investigations.
  • Display of SOPs,sign boards on junction points, narrow areas and findout the blind corners and eliminate them as possible.
  • Entry of each and every near miss and made a why-why analysis on each such occassion, so that eliminate those to become any accident or incident.

Mine Planning & Production Alignment

  • Prepare and monitor short-term, medium and long-term mine plans to support uninterrupted limestone supply to plant with optimal stripping ratio and equipment utilisation.

Limestone Quality Control & Blending

  • Maintain consistent limestone quality through grade control, selective mining, stockpile management and blending as per plant requirements

Geology & Resource Management

  • Oversee exploration, drilling, sampling and resource modelling to ensure accurate reserves, mine life assurance and reliable production forecasts.

Statutory Approvals, compliance & Regulatory Coordination

  • Prepare, submit and obtain approvals for Mine plans, Schemes and amemdments from IBM under MMDR, MCDR.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory returns, and reports to DGMS and IBM.
  • Coordinate during inspections and address observations within stipulated timelines.
  • Maintain accurate statutory registers and documentation.

Vocational Training & Competency Development

  • Plan and conduct statutory vocational training for employees and contractors.
  • Preparation of training modules, PPTs, working models, charts and videos.
  • Maintain training records and competency certifications.
  • Promote safety awareness and skill development for mechanised operations.

IMS & Audit Management

  • To ensure proper records are maintained for nil NCRs
  • Support implementation and maintenance of IMS (ISO 45001 / 14001 / 9001).
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions.
  • Maintain document control and continual improvement initiatives.
