Job Description

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Research & Market Analysis

  • Stay updated on micro and macroeconomic trends in the renewable energy sector.
  • Conduct secondary research and data analysis for business opportunities.
  • Analyze customer data and industry trends to support strategic decisions.
  • Provide insights on how market changes may impact Apraava's business.

Investment Monitoring & Business Planning Support

  • Monitor performance of ongoing projects and compare against original investment assumptions.
  • Support the annual business planning process in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Provide financial and commercial inputs to strengthen planning and forecasting.

Financial Modelling & Commercial Assessment

  • Collaborate with BD and Commercial teams to gather assumptions for project financial models.
  • Develop and refine financial models with sensitivity analysis for ROI, IRR, and valuation.
  • Prepare expenditure and value assessments to support investment decisions.
  • Ensure documentation and model accuracy for audit readiness and future reference.

Transaction Support & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with external advisors (consultants, auditors, investment bankers, etc.) during transactions such as acquisitions, divestments, and impairment reviews.
  • Interface with internal teams to obtain data and validate model assumptions.
  • Review valuation and due diligence reports from third parties, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY

  • Operates within the limits of defined authority matrix.
  • Responsible for analysis and recommendations, with final approvals governed by senior management and budget protocols.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • Business Development / M&A Team: For bid/project-related assumptions and data inputs.
  • Technical Team: For engineering and technical assumptions.
  • Treasury Team: For financing assumptions related to new investments.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • Valuation Advisors / Consultants / Auditors: For statutory or transaction-related valuation and due diligence.
