Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Finance and Accounts to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, covering areas from book closure and MIS reporting to accounts payable and receivable management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIS & Financial Reporting:
  • Coordinate with unit Controllership teams and Facility Directors (FDs) to ensure the timely and accurate accounting of all invoices.
  • Prepare and manage prepaid and provisions trackers, passing necessary Journal Vouchers (JVs) in NAV.
  • Execute the month-end book closure process for respective units within stipulated timelines.
  • Collaborate with FDs and unit teams to prepare comprehensive monthly MIS reports.
  • Doctor Payout Management:
  • Collate required inputs from the Hospital Information System (HIS), Operation Theatre (OT), and Labor Delivery Recovery (LDR) registers, alongside doctor agreements.
  • Prepare detailed doctor payout workings, discussing and finalizing them with FDs and the Corporate team.
  • Accounts Payable (AP):
  • Ensure the timely accounting of vendor invoices.
  • Coordinate with Unit Finance executives and the corporate treasury function to ensure vendor payments are released within their credit periods.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) & Revenue Reconciliation:
  • Coordinate with unit finance executives and Facility Managers (FMs) to reconcile Credit billing in Navision (as AR Invoices) with the HIS bill register.
  • Reconcile cash collections and revenue to ensure all bills are settled, revenue is correctly accounted for, and corresponding receipts are accurately recorded.
  • Provide reconciliation and detailed reports for the IP/OP Cash Collection Control Account, ensuring it exclusively reflects deposits from admitted patients.
  • Review receipt entries prepared by associates, ensure their correctness, and upload them to Navision.
  • Generate and provide Debtors Ageing Reports from Navision.
  • Treasury & Bank Reconciliation:
  • Reconcile cash collection and receivable accounts.
  • Coordinate with AR/AP teams to ensure all receipts and payment entries from bank statements are accounted for in Navision.
  • Oversee unit finance teams in preparing Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) for all bank accounts tagged to respective units.
  • Ensure all clearing account balances are periodically cleared to facilitate the book close process.
  • Provide details for write-offs and write-backs with necessary justifications.
  • Obtain Cash Card Reconciliations from all units and ensure consolidated collection trackers are prepared and sent to the corporate finance team.
  • Verify that cash collected and deposited matches the Collection Summary from Insta HMS, following up on any mismatches.
  • Review unreconciled collection accounts and follow up with units as needed.

Educational Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, MBA Finance) are highly advantageous.

Required Skills

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and MIS.
  • System Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems like Navision and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing records, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
  • Communication & Coordination: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to identify operational issues and implement solutions to ensure smooth financial processes.
