Job Description

As an Assistant Manager - Demand Planning for the Farm business, you will be responsible for creating and managing accurate demand forecasts across the Indian market. You will analyze market trends, collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, and drive the S&OP process to ensure optimal product availability and inventory levels.

You will be part of a global leader in the tire manufacturing industry, with a strong presence across multiple continents. In India, you will represent a trusted farm tire brand known for innovation, durability, and customer satisfaction. You will work alongside dynamic, high‑performing professionals and play a key role in driving demand planning excellence and business growth.

Key Responsibility Areas

Demand Forecasting

  • You analyze historical sales data, market trends, and relevant business drivers to develop accurate demand forecasts across products and regions.
  • You develop, maintain, and enhance statistical models and demand planning tools to predict future demand and identify patterns and trends.
  • You support the creation of short‑term and long‑term demand forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and changing market conditions.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • You collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to generate insights into demand patterns, seasonality, product performance, and market dynamics.
  • You prepare and deliver regular reports on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply chain performance for key stakeholders across supply chain, sales, and finance teams.
  • You continuously monitor demand and supply variations and provide actionable insights to proactively mitigate risks and support decision‑making.

Collaboration with Cross‑functional Teams

  • You collaborate closely with supply chain, marketing, sales, and finance teams to align demand planning with business strategies, promotions, and seasonal fluctuations.
  • You act as a data and analytics expert during demand planning discussions, providing data‑driven insights and recommendations for inventory optimization and production planning.

Experience

  • You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience as a data analyst in demand planning, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • You have hands‑on experience with demand forecasting, statistical modeling, and data analysis in a fast‑paced environment.
  • You are familiar with inventory management principles and core supply chain concepts.

Technical Skills

  • You are proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
  • You have experience working with demand planning software or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • You possess a strong understanding of statistical forecasting techniques, including time‑series analysis, regression analysis, and machine‑learning‑based forecasting methods.
  • You have experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.

Education

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree is desirable.
