We are looking for an Assistant Manager - Data Scientist who will play an Individual Contributor (IC) role in developing and deploying data-driven solutions using GenAI, NLP, and Machine Learning techniques. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in data science concepts, hands-on coding skills, and the ability to translate business problems into actionable analytical models.Our client is a global leader in the Industrial Automation and Electrical Equipment industry, driving digital transformation through advanced analytics and AI-powered solutions. This role is part of a Generative AI (GenAI) initiative aimed at optimizing business processes, enhancing decision-making, and building scalable AI solutions across multiple business functions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities for AI/ML-driven solutions.

• Analyse, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data for model development.

• Design and implement Machine Learning, NLP, and LLM-based solutions aligned with business needs.

• Build, evaluate, and optimize predictive and generative AI models.

• Work with Python, SQL, and statistical techniques to derive insights and support data-driven decisions.

• Manage data workflows, version control, and code repositories using Git.

• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

• Stay updated with emerging GenAI, LLM, and NLP technologies to bring innovation into analytical solutions.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel

• Solid understanding of Statistics and Machine Learning algorithms

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Hands-on experience with Database management and Version Controlling tools (Git)

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field

• Relevant experience in Data Science, preferably in AI/ML or GenAI projects

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Experience in Power BI or Tableau for data visualization

• Exposure to ML Ops or LLM Ops workflows

• Knowledge of Feature Engineering, Model Deployment, and Lang Chain

• Understanding of Vector Databases and retrieval-augmented generation concepts
