- Perform network vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Conduct security assessments on firewalls, VPN, routers, switches, IDS/IPS, wireless networks, and other infrastructure components.
- Perform external and internal infrastructure scanning using tools such as Nessus, Qualys, Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Hydra, and Wireshark.
- Identify and validate vulnerabilities such as misconfigurations, missing patches, insecure protocols, weak authentication mechanisms, and exposure risks.
- Document findings with clear technical evidence, risk ratings, and remediation guidance.
- Work with IT and network teams to track vulnerability closure and retesting.
- Map findings to frameworks like OWASP, CVE, CWE, NIST, and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Assist in improving security baseline, hardened configuration standards, and security policies.
- Stay updated with emerging cyber threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, attack tactics, and red-team techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in Network Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, VLANs, VPN, IPSec, SSL/TLS, DHCP, routing, NAT, ports & protocols.
- Experience with VAPT tools (any of the following):
- Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS
- Nmap, Nikto
- Metasploit, John the Ripper, Hydra
- Wireshark, Burp Suite (optional)
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows command-line environments.
