Your Impact
You will handle offshore US tax compliance and reporting with the ability to provide support and oversight to process improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax accounting, reporting and compliance function.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: helping in preparation of U.S. Federal pro-forma returns to be included in a large, consolidated group as well as separate 1120's, including international reporting forms such as 8865, 8858 etc.; You will prepare state income tax filings including both combined or consolidated returns and separate state filings; executing the various processes for compilation of data required for preparing and filing the returns; corresponding with office finance for information required in the tax compliance process; administering timely filing of quarterly estimated payments and year end extension payments.
You will prepare defense, responses and submissions for audits/ examinations carried out by the tax authorities with support from external tax advisors. You will support the external and internal audit process; managing process transformation, with use of newer technologies, AI etc. Additionally you will be required to help us in preparation of GL accounts reconciliation and processing of necessary journals; handling of systems and databases across multiple platforms (e.g. SAP); You will work with tax advisors to finalize the reporting and implementing tax planning initiates; documentation of processes followed, and work performed; other tax accounting related tasks as assigned on a time-to-time basis; and support in team planning and management of individual team members.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- Chartered Accountant
- 5+ years experience (post-qualification)
- Experience in a multinational consulting firm or an accounting firm is desirable - US tax compliance experience is preferred
- Ability to drive projects successfully
