About ICA
As one of fastest growing practice in DA&S, Infrastructure and Climate Advisory (ICA) team at KGS invites like-minded professionals to help us drive progress and change. At KGS ICA practice, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team across a range of industries to assist public and private sector organizations involved in infrastructure to deliver desired outcomes, whether for society or for businesses. We are the Centre of Excellence for KPMG's Global practices, helping our clients better understand evolving policy and regulatory environment, business and commercial risks, as well as providing commercial and strategic advice on complex infrastructure and capital projects. You will work on wide range of infrastructure sectors including transport, energy, digital infrastructure as well as social infrastructure, with diverse clientage such as public sector entities, infrastructure owners, project developers, large corporates, contractors, equity investors and financers.
The role will be based out of KPMG's Mumbai/Gurgaon offices and liaise cross-functionally with leaders across the business to drive internal and external engagement.
This role is for you if you have the below
Prior Experience
- Relevant experience (5+ years) gained in either Corporate roles, Debt Syndication, Fund-raising, Project Finance, regulatory finance, PPP, Infra SPV's or similar deal experience in the relevant sector/ propositions (preferred, but not mandatory)
Mandatory technical & functional skills
- Financial analysis and interpretation, in particular DCF methods (NPV and IRR)
- Experience in modelling and valuation principals
- Experience of buy/sell side transactions, project financing, debt syndication, bond financing in infrastructure sector (preferred but not mandatory)
- Have prepared infrastructure models from scratch and/or have significant experience into model audits/reviews
- Have knowledge of financing structures, particularly debt and equity finance and other types of project-based financing
- Have experience of PPP/PFI transactions or exposure of working on one or more infrastructure sector/sub sectors (preferred but not mandatory)
- Have an ability to interpret and present outputs from financial models to support the commercial advice to onshore/client
- Good working knowledge of accounting and financial statements
- Strong problem-solving skills; Knowledge of advanced functions in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Word
Responsibilities
The role is for Infrastructure and Climate Advisory team ( Deal Advisory, KPMG). The individual is going to work closely with Commercial Advisory and Transactions service line within our team wherein they will be working across entire lifecycle of infrastructure on projects spanning Project Development, Capital Advisory and Deals & Transactions. Our team is at the forefront of delivery and requires the candidate to develop strong technical and presentational skills couple with sound commercial understanding of the sector.
As a Assistant Manager, You Will Apply Analytical Thinking To Develop Tailored Solutions For Clients While Managing Significant Relationships. Your Typical Day Will Involve
- Supporting in the delivery of infrastructure modeling projects for sectors such as power & utilities, transportation & social infrastructure,
- Leading end-to-end infrastructure modeling and valuation engagements while working closely with the onshore team
- Understanding the delivery models applied to the infrastructure projects lifecycle across construction, operations, financing & refinancing phases
- Support in the development and evaluation of quantitative financial, M&A (buy and sell side) and project finance models
- Manage the modelling risks, in accordance with KPMG risk management guidelines
- Actively building and managing the relationships and interface with Global KPMG Infrastructure teams and other deal advisory professionals
Qualifications
Educational qualifications
