Role Purpose

To design, monitor, and optimize collection strategies across delinquency buckets by leveraging performance management, MIS reporting, cost optimization, manpower planning, and vendor management, ensuring efficient recovery while controlling cost of collection and cost of credit.

Key Responsibilities

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Collection Performance Management
  • Bounce and penal waiver request from the field to be collated and shared with the ops
  • Timely allocation of the cases to the team.
  • Define action flows across channels: digital, tele-calling, field, legal.
  • Track resolution rates and recovery efficiency.
  • Identify and highlight early-warning signals.
  • Sharing of the different data with the team (paid file, dpd change data etc)
  • Allocation of cases on the Credit Nirvana and monitoring of the data
  • Data Analytics & Insights
  • Roll-forward and bounce trend analysis.
  • Analyze last 6 months contactability trends
  • Perform cohort and segmentation analysis (risk band, geography, product, vintage).
  • Track channel-level and agent-level productivity metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve recoveries.
  • Legal status updation and tracking
  • MIS Reporting & Dashboards
  • Own Hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly MIS for collections.
  • Create dashboards covering:
    • Collection efficiency
    • Same day last month tracking
    • Bucket movement
    • Agent productivity
    • Vendor performance
    • Settlement tracking
    • Intensity tracking
  • Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting to senior management.
  • Prepare month end dashboards to monitor trends
  • Manpower Management
  • Forecast manpower requirements based on ACR with respect to the portfolio size.
  • Optimize allocation across digital, calling, and field teams.
  • Monitor capacity utilization.
  • Vendor Management & Billing
  • Manage collection agencies and field vendors.
  • Vendor onboarding management
  • Validate vendor billing against productivity and recovery.
  • Validate contests achievement and share contest results.
  • Employee Targets & Incentives
  • Monitor target achievement for in-house and outsourced teams and track through daily MIS.
  • Monitor milestone incentive payouts and track through daily MIS.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
  • Technical/System issue resolution and tracking
  • Support automation of MIS, dashboards, and billing validation.
  • Coordinate with Tech/Product teams for collection tool enhancements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel / SQL / BI tools (Power BI, Tableau preferred)
  • Deep understanding of collections lifecycle
  • Stakeholder management (Tele-calling team, Field team, Strategy team, Process Team, Operations, Vendors)
Education & Experience:

  • 6–10 years experience in Collection MIS management (Bank/NBFC/Fintech)
  • Hands-on experience in MIS, data management, vendor management.
  • Deep understanding of collection process
