About the Role
We are hiring an Assistant Manager – Client Management to take full ownership of retainer client accounts across marketing, automation, and growth initiatives. This is not a coordination role. We are looking for someone who thinks strategically, executes campaigns with precision, and proactively drives account growth.
You will be the primary point of contact for assigned clients — responsible for retention, performance, and continuous upsell. If you thrive in a fast-paced agency environment and love seeing your work translate into real business outcomes for clients, this role is built for you.
Key Responsibilities
Client Ownership and Relationship Management
- Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all assigned retainer clients
- Build trust-led relationships with marketing leads and senior business stakeholders
- Lead weekly and monthly review calls with structured performance narratives
- Manage client expectations, handle escalations, and ensure long-term engagement and satisfaction
Campaign Planning and Execution
- Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across social media, email marketing, and paid channels (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn)
- Translate client objectives into detailed marketing plans and content calendars
- Ensure timely delivery of all campaign assets across channels and approval cycles
- Manage multiple campaign streams simultaneously without compromising quality or deadlines
HubSpot and Marketing Automation
- Own HubSpot setup and optimisation for clients — workflows, email journeys, lead scoring, and CRM hygiene
- Build automation journeys mapped to customer lifecycle stages (awareness to nurture to conversion to retention)
- Ensure proper tracking, attribution, and structured reporting within HubSpot
- Identify and resolve automation gaps; implement best practices for data quality
Content, Design and Ideation
- Drive content strategy aligned to client goals across engagement, lead generation, and audience nurturing
- Collaborate with internal content and design teams to deliver social media content, emailers, landing pages, and ad creatives
- Write clear, detailed creative briefs and review output for quality and brand alignment
Performance Optimisation
- Monitor campaign performance across all channels on an ongoing basis
- Identify gaps and implement optimisation strategies to improve CTR, CPL, and conversion rates
- Run structured experiments including A/B tests, new ad formats, and updated audience targeting
Reporting and Insights
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports that go beyond data — providing clear narrative insights and actionable recommendations
- Connect marketing metrics to business outcomes including leads generated, pipeline contribution, and revenue impact
- Proactively recommend next-step strategies and new growth initiatives to clients
Upselling and Account Growth
- Identify opportunities to expand scope — new campaigns, additional platforms, or deeper automation
- Pitch additional services confidently and drive revenue growth within existing accounts
- Collaborate with internal sales and leadership to support closures and new scope discussions
Who We Are Looking For
- 3 to 5 years of experience in client servicing or account management within a digital marketing agency
- Strong working knowledge of performance marketing, content marketing, and marketing automation
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot — workflows, lead scoring, CRM management (experience with Marketo or ActiveCampaign is a plus)
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and concurrent projects without losing quality
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — comfortable owning client-facing conversations
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to connect campaign metrics to business results
- Collaborative team player who can work effectively with content, design, and performance teams
How Performance will be Measured
- Account Delivery — Delivery time and quality (60%)
- Client CSAT — CSAT Score (15%)
- New Initiatives — Campaigns, content, social, automation (25%)
