Role Description The Assistant Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role involves supporting senior leadership in overseeing client engagements, managing day-to-day finance and accounting operations, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Responsibilities include coordinating with clients to gather financial data, assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, MIS reports, and dashboards, and helping implement robust financial processes and controls. The Assistant Manager will monitor compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues. The role also includes reviewing work prepared by junior team members, contributing to process improvements, and participating in client meetings to present financial insights and recommendations.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in finance, accounting, and financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Experience with management reporting, MIS preparation, and data-driven decision support using dashboards and financial models.
• Working knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory filings relevant to Indian businesses.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems or cloud-based finance tools is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a client-focused environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) are preferred.
• Prior experience in a consulting, vCFO, or outsourced accounting environment, especially with startups or SMEs, is beneficial.
