Job Description
- Conducting security investigations/triaging based on incidents identified by Level 1 security analyst or high severity alarms in the SIEM platform
- Guide Level 1 SOC analysts in security investigations on incident resolution and containment techniques.
- Act as the lead coordinator for incidents and ensure appropriate response
- Conducting investigations using packet captured files for stream analysis on need basis
- Recommend fine tuning of rules reports for false positive reduction
- Coordinate with cross functional teams for response/resolution, performance issues, and outages.
- Communicate effectively with customers, teammates, and management as required
- Preparation of scheduled reports and dashboards
- Modify/Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on need basis
- Provide recommendations in tuning and optimization of security systems, SOC security process, procedures, and policies.
Work on rotational shifts (24x 7) as per defined roster which may include weekends and public holidays
