Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the end-to-end buying strategy for the footwear category
  • Build and manage a trend-forward assortment aligned with customer demand
  • Analyze business performance; identify gaps and opportunities to drive growth (revenue, margins, sell-through)
  • Lead vendor identification, onboarding, and relationship management
  • Drive commercial negotiations to ensure competitive pricing, margins, and quality
  • Monitor stock movement, markdowns, and replenishment to maintain healthy inventory levels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, planning, marketing, and operations teams
  • Track market trends, competition, and pricing benchmarks
  • Identify new growth opportunities across brands, styles, and price segments
  • Ensure continuous innovation and freshness within the category

Additional Information

Skills & Experience Required

  • 7–10 years of experience in buying/merchandising, with a strong focus on footwear (mandatory)
  • Deep understanding of footwear trends, sourcing, and vendor ecosystem
  • Strong commercial acumen with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Proven track record of driving category growth and managing P&L metrics
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • High ownership mindset with strong execution focus and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis
