Assistant Manager - Business Development

Studio Orion - Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad

Position Purpose

Lead field-based demand generation efforts by building strategic relationships with architects, interior designers, and project managers in the luxury residential segment to prospect upcoming projects and drive client visits to the flagship store.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify and prospect upcoming luxury residential projects through market research, networking, and relationship building with architects, interior designers, developers, and project managers.
  2. Conduct extensive field visits to meet architects, interior designers, and their teams to understand project pipelines and establish Studio Orion as the preferred furnishing partner.
  3. Build and maintain strategic relationships with project managers overseeing luxury residential developments to gain early access to furnishing requirements and decision-makers.
  4. Engage with new residential project clients to understand their design preferences, project timelines, and furnishing needs while generating interest in Studio Orion's offerings.
  5. Develop and execute territory-specific demand generation strategies (like weekend sessions for team members of prominent architects, collaborative events for other luxury brands) to maximize coverage of luxury residential projects in assigned areas.
  6. Lead and mentor a team of 2 Business Development Executives to achieve collective demand generation targets and build effective field engagement capabilities.
  7. Coordinate successful handover of generated leads to the store team by scheduling client visits and providing comprehensive briefings on client requirements and project context.
  8. Track and maintain detailed records of all prospect interactions, project pipelines, architect (and their team members) relationships, and scheduled store visits in the CRM system.
  9. Analyze market trends in luxury residential segment including competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and emerging project locations to inform business strategy.
  10. Provide regular updates to Business Development Manager/ Store Manager on pipeline status, team performance, market intelligence, and demand generation outcomes.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  1. Number of luxury residential projects prospected monthly
  2. Number of architect and interior designer relationships established
  3. Field visits conducted by self and team members (minimum 5 meetings per person per week)
  4. Number of qualified leads generated and handed over to store team
  5. Conversion rate from generated leads to store visits
  6. Team performance and development metrics
