Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and result-driven Assistant Manager Business Development to drive revenue growth through industrial sales, project-based solutions, and strategic customer engagement. The role involves managing enquiries, developing new customers, handling rate contracts, supporting project sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining strong MIS and reporting discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Support
- Convert leads into confirmed orders through face-to-face or virtual interactions.
- Visit potential customers and understand their business needs.
- Recommend suitable product/solution offerings.
- Close deals and ensure timely order execution.
2. Industrial Enquiry Management
- Record all enquiries in the MIS system.
- Prepare and submit quotations on time.
- Handle technical/commercial clarifications.
- Follow up to convert enquiries into Purchase Orders.
3. Project Sales (Lube Room, Service Van, OMS, etc.)
- Identify customized project requirements such as centralized lube management, oil management systems, FD/60, AD/40, etc.
- Prepare technical proposals and project costing.
- Coordinate execution with internal technical teams.
4. New Rate Contracts / Customer Approvals
- Identify and onboard new customers across industries and geographies.
- Conduct trials, demos, and product presentations.
- Complete qualification processes and obtain pricing approvals.
5. Renewal of Rate Contracts / MoUs
- Track contract expiry dates and ensure timely renewals.
- Re-negotiate commercial terms when required.
- Execute MoUs for long-term or exclusive collaborations.
6. Seminars, Technical Presentations & Exhibitions (Monthly)
- Participate in industrial seminars, expos, and training programs.
- Present product performance and value propositions.
- Generate leads and collect customer feedback.
7. MIS & Reporting (ARC / Approvals / GeM / Central Enquiries)
- Compile monthly data from regions and dealers.
- Track ARC status and new approvals.
- Share analytical insights with Head Office to support strategic decisions.
8. Customer Complaint Closure
- Acknowledge complaints within 24 hours.
- Investigate root causes and coordinate with relevant departments.
- Ensure resolution and customer follow-up.
9. Miscellaneous Responsibilities
- MIS & report management
- Data hygiene
- Sales collateral maintenance
- Any other assigned business support activities
