Assistant Manager

We are hiring for Raw Material Procurement resource from Executive to Manager level

• Experience: 2 to 10 Years.
• Location: Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune

• Role:

Biofuel Segment Raw Material Sourcing Assistant Manager

• Key Purpose:

To ensure uninterrupted, cost-effective, and quality procurement of seasonal raw biomass (mustard husk, soya straw, corn cob, cotton, castor shell, GNS etc.) by developing strong field-level sourcing networks, managing suppliers, and executing aggregation strategies aligned with Envira plant demand.

• Key responsibilities involved:

1. Seasonal Procurement Planning & Execution

• Develop region-specific procurement plans based on crop cycles (mustard, soybean, maize, cotton, castor shell, GNS etc.)
• Map crop availability, harvesting timelines, and surplus zones
• Ensure timely onboarding of suppliers before season start
• Achieve monthly and seasonal procurement targets (MT-wise)

2. Supplier & Aggregator Development

• Identify and onboard:
• Farmers / FPOs
• Aggregators / balers
• Build long-term sourcing relationships in the region
• Negotiate competitive pricing aligned with market trends
• Ensure supplier retention across seasons

3. Field Operations & Aggregation Co-ordination

• Set up and manage biomass banks / temporary collection center.
• Monitor aggregation, storage, and handling practices
• Ensure minimal field losses and contamination
• Coordinate with baling and loading teams

4. Quality Assurance at Source

• Ensure procurement as per defined specifications:
• Moisture levels
• Contamination (sand, stones, foreign material)
• Coordinate with QA team for field-level inspections
• Implement rejection control measures at loading points

5. Logistics Coordination

• Plan dispatches aligned with plant demand
• Coordinate with transporters for timely vehicle placement
• Optimize freight cost through route planning and load consolidation

6. Cost & Market Intelligence

• Track mandi prices, competitor activity, and supply-demand trends
• Provide weekly insights on price movement and availability
• Control procurement cost vs budget

7. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure safe handling, storage, and loading practices
• Implement field-level safety norms (fire prevention, site safety)
• Maintain documentation for procurement transactions

8. MIS & Reporting

• Daily tracking of:
• Procurement volumes
• Supplier performance
• Dispatch status
• Maintain accurate data in central dashboard
• Submit weekly/monthly performance report

• Supplier base development (active vendors)
