Job Summary
Corteva Agriscience is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Accounts Payable (APAY) team. This role involves supporting the efficient and accurate processing of invoices, managing vendor relations, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures within a fast-paced agricultural science environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, validation, coding, and payment processing.
- Supervise a team of AP specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, adhering to company policies and payment terms.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, collaborating with vendors and internal departments as needed.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the AP function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (e.g., TDS, GST) and company financial policies.
- Generate regular reports on AP metrics and performance for management review.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding accounts payable inquiries.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10-15years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 4-5 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices for accounts payable.
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, S4HANA) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
