About The Function
The Marketing function at MakeMyTrip is responsible for driving demand, strengthening brand equity, and building long-term customer relationships across all lines of business. The function brings together brand, performance, partnerships, and product marketing to ensure every customer interaction with MakeMyTrip is consistent, compelling, and conversion-led across channels and customer journeys.
Within the Marketing function, the Alliances & Partnerships team serves as the primary interface for external collaborations. The team focuses on identifying, conceptualizing, and executing strategic alliances with leading players across financial services, tourism boards, and adjacent ecosystems, with the objective of driving growth, expanding reach, and enhancing overall customer value.
About The Role
This role will focus on developing and strengthening partnerships with international and domestic tourism boards to unlock growth opportunities, enhance market visibility, and support key business objectives for MakeMyTrip. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute high-impact joint marketing initiatives, drive co-funded campaigns, and build long-term, value-accretive relationships with tourism board partners.
What will you be doing
- Driving long-term partnerships with key international and domestic tourism boards to build a strong and sustainable alliances ecosystem.
- Delivering revenue targets through tourism board investments across multiple lines of business including AdTech, Flights, Hotels, and Holidays.
- Conceptualizing and executing ATL and BTL campaigns aligned to tourism board objectives, with a focus on unlocking incremental marketing funds and supporting MakeMyTrip business priorities.
- Leading commercial discussions and negotiating campaign constructs, commercials, and partnership agreements with tourism board stakeholders.
- Acting as a strategic bridge between tourism boards and the Holidays product team to advancing destination-led product priorities.
- Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of tourism board partnerships to ensuring quarter-on-quarter growth in alliance-led funding.
- Presenting comprehensive post-campaign performance reviews, including quantitative and qualitative insights, to tourism board partners.
Qualification & Experience
- MBA from a reputed institute with 24 years of relevant work experience for Assistant Manager and 7- 8 years for Manager level, including exposure to the Travel, Tourism, or Holidays industry in a client-facing role.
- Strong passion for the tourism ecosystem, along with a nuanced understanding of the Holidays business.
- Prior experience in partner negotiations, with demonstrated ability to manage commercial discussions and drive win-win outcomes.
