Designation: Assistant Manager - Ad Operations

Office Location: Gurugram or Mumbai

Position Description:

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Ad Operations Specialist to manage and optimize campaign execution across our programmatic stack. You will own end-to-end campaign operations across MediaSmart, and DV360, ensuring flawless delivery, pacing, and performance for our growing advertiser base. This is a high-impact, individual-contributor role with a clear path toward a senior ops or strategy function.

Primary Responsibilities:

Campaign Setup & Execution

  • Own end-to-end trafficking, setup, and QA of campaigns across MediaSmart, The Trade Desk, and Google DV360
  • Build and configure insertion orders, line items, creatives, and targeting parameters with precision
  • Ensure ad tags, pixels, and third-party tracking (Adjust, DCM, Moat) are correctly implemented and firing
  • Validate creative assets against platform specifications before launch

Campaign Optimization & Performance

  • Monitor campaign pacing, delivery, and performance on a daily basis; flag anomalies proactively
  • Execute bid optimizations, frequency adjustments, audience refinements, and placement exclusions
  • Conduct A/B tests on creatives, audience segments, and bid strategies to improve campaign KPIs
  • Analyze impression-level and event-level data to identify and resolve delivery issues

Reporting & Analytics

  • Build and maintain performance dashboards for internal stakeholders and client-facing reporting
  • Generate weekly and campaign-end wrap reports with insights and actionable recommendations
  • Work closely with the data/BI team to define reporting taxonomies and attribution models
  • Identify trends across CTR, VCR, ROAS, CPM, and other relevant programmatic and CTV metrics

Platform & Process

  • Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for campaign setup and optimization workflows
  • Partner with product and engineering on DSP integrations, API enhancements, and new feature rollouts
  • Coordinate with media partners, SSPs, and inventory teams to troubleshoot delivery and discrepancy issues
  • Support onboarding of new advertisers by translating briefs into executable programmatic strategies

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in ad operations or programmatic campaign management
  • Proficiency in MediaSmart DSP campaign setup, optimization levers, and reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of The Trade Desk (TTD) campaigns, targeting, Koa AI, and bid management
  • Solid experience with Google DV360 trafficking, audience management, and brand safety controls
  • Familiarity with third-party ad servers, tracking pixels, and verification tools (DCM / CM360, IAS, MOAT)
  • Ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into clear optimization actions
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills; comfortable with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data manipulation
  • Excellent attention to detail ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously without errors
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for internal and client-facing interactions

Preferred Qualifications (Strong Plus)

  • CTV / OTT Advertising Experience: Candidates with hands-on CTV / streaming advertising experience will be given strong preference. We are building India's CTV stack and this knowledge gives you a significant head start.
  • Experience planning or executing CTV / OTT campaigns on Jio Hotstar, YouTube CTV, SonyLIV, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with CTV measurement methodologies reach, frequency, VCR, co-viewing, and brand lift studies
  • Understanding of ACR (Automatic Content Recognition) data and its application in audience targeting
  • Knowledge of SSAI (Server-Side Ad Insertion) and CTV ad delivery mechanics
  • Experience working with SMB / performance advertisers and managing self-serve or semi-managed accounts
  • Exposure to cross-channel attribution and unified reporting across Meta, Google, and programmatic channels
  • TTD certification or Google DV360 certification is a plus
  • Prior experience at a DSP, SSP, ad network, digital agency, or AdTech startup
