Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for an international career opportunity We are hiring an Assistant Accounts Manager for a reputed manufacturing organization based in Conakry, Guinea (West Africa).
Position Details:
Role: Assistant Accounts Manager
Location: Conakry, Guinea (West Africa)
Experience: 5+ years
Qualification: CA / CA Intermediate
Industry: Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the accounting department
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely month-end closing
- Review and reconcile General Ledger accounts with sub-ledgers
- Prepare financial analysis and recommendations for decision-making
- Monitor and supervise the day-to-day work of accounting team members
- Review production costing entries for accurate cost allocation
- Ensure proper inventory accounting and overall inventory control
- Manage accounting activities related to production
- Identify exceptions and suggest improvements in internal processes
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company processes
Candidate Requirements:
- CA / CA Intermediate
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing company – mandatory
- Experience in production accounting and costing
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and control
- Experience managing a team of at least 5 members
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Prior experience in West African countries is preferred
- Knowledge of French is preferred
