Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Logistics with strong expertise in vehicle management, air freight, and FTL transportation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing multimodal freight operations, ensuring timely deliveries, cost optimization, and efficient fleet utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end transportation operations including FTL/PTL, surface freight, and air cargo.
  • Oversee vehicle placement, fleet utilization, route planning, and capacity management.
  • Coordinate air freight bookings, cargo documentation, and airline/vendor follow-ups.
  • Negotiate freight rates and manage transporter/vendor relationships.
  • Monitor transit timelines, shipment tracking, and SLA adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with e-way bills, invoicing, and transport documentation.
  • Drive cost control and operational efficiency across freight modes.
  • Handle reverse logistics and resolve delivery escalations.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong experience in vehicle and fleet management.
  • In-depth knowledge of FTL, PTL, air freight, and multimodal logistics.
  • Freight cost negotiation and vendor management expertise.
  • Proficiency in TMS/ERP systems and Advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations.
  • 47 years of relevant experience in transportation and freight operations.
