We are looking to expand our successful Intelligent Mobility/Intelligent Transport Systems team in India with the appointment of an Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Design Engineer to join WSP's team in either Noida or Bangalore. You will support the Middle East Intelligent Mobility/Intelligent Transport Systems team, working on ITS projects across the GCC region. This role involves the design and implementation of ITS solutions, focusing on enhancing the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of transportation networks.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop traffic signalized intersections.
- Design and develop Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) solutions, including Variable Message Signs (VMS), CCTV systems, vehicle detection systems, Tunnel ITS and communication networks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate ITS designs into broader transport and infrastructure projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, and technical evaluations to inform ITS design and implementation.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and drawings for ITS projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ITS technologies and standards to ensure cutting-edge design solutions.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure all ITS designs comply with relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in the design and implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems.
- Proven expertise in ITS technologies, including traffic signals, VMS, CCTV, vehicle detection systems, and communication networks.
- Strong technical proficiency in ITS design software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative design solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest ITS technologies and industry trends.
BGV:
- Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (BGV) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
