Job Description: Assistant General Manager Sales (Commercial & Personal Vehicles)

Location: Hisar, Haryana

Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager Sales (AGM Sales) will be a senior leadership role responsible for driving end-to-end sales performance across Commercial Vehicles (CV) and Personal Vehicles (PV) segments. The role demands deep market understanding, strong people leadership, and the ability to execute Mahindra's growth strategy at a district and regional level.

The AGM Sales will work closely with the Dealer Principal, General Manager, OEM representatives, finance partners, and internal teams to ensure sustained market leadership in Hisar and adjoining territories.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Growth
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for both CV and PV segments.
  • Develop and execute territory-wise sales strategies aligned with Mahindra & Mahindra guidelines.
  • Identify growth opportunities in rural, semi-urban, fleet, institutional, and retail markets.
  • Monitor competitor activity and dynamically adjust pricing, schemes, and outreach.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead, mentor, and monitor Sales Managers, Sales Executives, and Field Teams.
  • Ensure daily discipline on lead generation, test drives, bookings, deliveries, and conversions.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and field coaching.
  • Build a high-performance, ethical, and target-driven sales culture.
Customer & Channel Management
  • Handle key accounts, fleet customers, and high-value clients personally.
  • Strengthen relationships with DSA's, brokers, aggregators, and rural influencers.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and referrals.
Finance, Exchange & Insurance Coordination
  • Work closely with bank/NBFC partners to maximize finance penetration.
  • Drive exchange, insurance, and accessory attachment ratios.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between sales, finance, and documentation teams.
OEM & Compliance
  • Act as the primary point of coordination with Mahindra Area Office.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM processes, reporting, audits, and schemes.
  • Support dealership expansion, new launches, and special initiatives.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in automobile sales, preferably with Mahindra or similar OEMs.
  • Proven exposure to both Commercial Vehicles and Personal Vehicles sales.
  • Strong understanding of local Hisar & Haryana market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and multi-location sales management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High integrity, execution mindset, and data-driven decision making.
Preferred Profile
  • Experience in handling district-level or large territory operations.
  • Strong relationships with local financiers, transporters, and influencers.
  • Ability to scale volumes while maintaining process discipline and brand standards.
