About the Organisation

Sawai Jaipur Experiences is responsible for all events and experiences curated,

organised and commercially offered at the City Palace, Jaipur; Jaigarh; and any

other venues operated under affiliate organisations of the Sawai Jaipur group.

The firm plays a key role in curating luxury experiences for and offering heritage

venues to clients from across the sectors of tourism, hospitality, events, MICE,

wedding and entertainment. The firm is also responsible for curating and

organising all events and experiences offered under the aegis of any of the

affiliate organisations of the Sawai Jaipur group, including but not limited to

heritage festivals and celebrations, event IPs, brand collaboration events, etc.

Position Overview

The Assistant General Manager – Sales drives revenue growth for Sawai Jaipur

Experiences by identifying, developing, and converting commercial opportunities

across the firm's portfolio of venues and experiential offerings. This role requires

a proactive sales professional with a strong network in the luxury, hospitality,

MICE, and events sectors, capable of representing the unique proposition of

heritage venues to discerning domestic and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

● Business Development & Lead Generation

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target

segments including weddings, MICE, corporate events, luxury

tourism, and entertainment.

○ Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through

networking, market research, industry events, and referrals.

○ Conduct site visits, client presentations, and venue walkthroughs to

convert leads into confirmed bookings.

● Client Relationship Management

○ Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and

prospective clients throughout the sales cycle.

○ Build long-term relationships with event planners, destination

management companies, travel agents, and corporate clients.

○ Ensure a seamless client experience from initial enquiry through to

contract finalisation, coordinating with internal teams as required.

● Revenue & Target Management

○ Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets as

set by senior leadership.

○ Track and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline status, and

conversion rates regularly.

○ Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across SJE's

portfolio of venues and experiences.

● Market Intelligence & Strategy

○ Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and emerging client

preferences to inform the sales strategy.

○ Contribute to the development of sales collateral, pricing structures,

and promotional packages in coordination with the marketing team.

○ Represent SJE at trade fairs, industry events, and client roadshows

to build brand visibility.

● Coordination & Reporting

○ Maintain accurate records of all sales activity, client interactions,

and contract details in the CRM system.

○ Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the General Manager

and senior leadership.

○ Coordinate with the events, reservations, and operations teams to

ensure client requirements are communicated and delivered.

Qualifications and Experience

● MBA in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or an adjacent field of

equivalent standing.

● Minimum 6 years of experience in a sales or business development role,

preferably within luxury, hospitality, heritage venues, MICE, or premium

events.

● Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

●Existing relationships with key clients, DMCs, or event agencies in the

luxury and hospitality space are a strong advantage.

for new business.

● Polished interpersonal and presentation skills suited to engaging

high-net-worth clients and senior corporate stakeholders.

● Ability to articulate the cultural and heritage value of SJE's venues as a

distinctive commercial proposition.

● Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals while maintaining

long-term client relationships.

● Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of a foreign language such as

French or German is a significant advantage when engaging international

clients.
