Job Title: Assistant General Manager Sales (Renewable Energy - Solar only)

Location: Ahmedabad

Department: Sales

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO

Job Summary:

Fox Energy is seeking a highly driven and strategic Assistant General Manager Sales to lead our business growth in ground-mounted and captive solar energy projects. The role demands a visionary leader with exceptional communication skills, strong market understanding, and the ability to drive revenue, close large-scale deals, and lead a high-performing sales team through both strategic direction and on-ground engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, guide, and empower the sales team to achieve organizational sales and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute business strategies for industrial and commercial solar projects (captive, open access, and ground-mounted).
  • Take full ownership of deal closures from client acquisition, proposal presentation, and negotiation to final contract signing.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and field engagements to drive conversions and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with technical and finance teams to create customized solar proposals and commercial offers.
  • Manage key accounts and build long-term relationships with decision-makers in industrial and corporate sectors.
  • Track sales performance, monitor pipelines, and provide accurate revenue forecasts to management.
  • Ensure the team adheres to company policies, timely payment collection, and proper documentation.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry forums to promote Fox Energy's capabilities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven expertise in solar project sales captive, open access, or ground-mounted systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on performance and results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to drive business independently and manage high-value deal closures.
  • Strong understanding of solar project economics, regulatory frameworks, and client ROI models.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and site visits.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales within the solar energy or renewable sector, with at least 24 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and closing multi-megawatt solar projects.
