Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and agile Assistant General Manager – Fabric Sourcing to join the TIGC team. The role will be responsible for leading end-to-end fabric sourcing operations, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting TIGC's mission to deliver fast, functional, and fashion-forward apparel through strategic supplier management and innovative fabric development.

Key Responsibilities:

· Source and develop woven and knit fabrics (75% woven / 25% knits) aligned with brand requirements, cost targets, and timelines.

· Evaluate and negotiate fabric prices with mills and suppliers to achieve optimal cost-efficiency and quality.

· Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to support seasonal fabric development and sampling.

· Maintain strong vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and innovation.

· Analyze market trends, fabric price movements, and supply base conditions to support strategic sourcing decisions.

· Ensure alignment of fabric sourcing with current fashion trends and sustainability requirements.

· Prepare and analyze data reports using Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) to support cost and performance tracking.

· Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes through accountability, agility, and proactive problem-solving.

KPI (Metrics to evaluate):

· Cost Optimization: Percentage of cost savings achieved through effective negotiation and supplier consolidation.

· On-Time Sourcing: Percentage of fabrics sourced and delivered within agreed lead time for sampling and bulk orders.

· Quality Performance: Percentage of fabrics passing lab tests and bulk quality inspections without major deviations.

· Supplier Performance Index: Rating based on quality, delivery reliability, innovation, and service responsiveness.

· Fabric Development Efficiency: Turnaround time from design brief to approved fabric sample.

· Market Benchmarking: Frequency and accuracy of market price updates and trend analysis shared with internal teams.

· Inventory & MOQ Management: Reduction in excess fabric inventory and optimization of minimum order quantities.

· Data Accuracy & Reporting: Timeliness and accuracy of sourcing data maintained in Excel / ERP systems.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Feedback from design, merchandising, and production teams on support effectiveness.

· Sustainability & Compliance: Percentage of fabrics sourced from compliant, sustainable, or certified mills (where applicable).

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

· Have 8-10 years of hands-on experience in fabric sourcing, with key focus on 75% woven and 25% knit categories.

· Hold a technical qualification such as DTT, DHT, or B.Tech (Textiles).

· Possess strong fabric pricing knowledge with proven negotiation and cost optimization skills.

· Are detail-oriented, commercially aware, and adept at balancing quality, speed, and cost efficiency.

· Display a proactive, result-driven mindset aligned with dynamic and fast-paced apparel sourcing environments.
