Job Description

Title: Assistant General Manager/AGM (Energy Background)

Location: Hyderabad

Compensation Package:

Responsibilities

  • 20+ years of experience in Transmission Line Substation Works
  • Demonstrate strong project management experience in planning, execution, and coordination of high-voltage power transmission lines and substations up to 400 kV.
  • Successfully complete and commission EHV substations and transmission lines up to 400 kV.
  • Strategize technical aspects for competitive project delivery and propose alternative designs when necessary.
  • Ensure project completion within specified timeframes, adhering to safety, scope, schedule, and budgetary objectives.
  • Develop robust project plans and schedules, optimize resources and timelines, and communicate them effectively to project teams.
  • Review and ensure optimum designs before submission to clients.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams for successful project start-up, commissioning, and turnover to clients.
  • Proactively resolve issues, including Right of Way (ROW) challenges, by interacting with project execution teams.
  • Provide pre-bid engineering support with high accuracy, guiding the team to identify and mitigate risks in tendering inputs.
  • Develop and implement Engineering Plans aligned with project requirements, monitoring and controlling progress for all projects.
  • Maintain regular communication with Country Operations to resolve pending issues with clients, consultants, and vendors.
  • Facilitate and coordinate engineering teams across multiple locations for seamless execution.
  • Handle project documentation and management as a project lead.
  • Secure approvals from local government entities for compensation to ensure uninterrupted execution of foundation, tower erection, and stringing works.
  • Review engineering drawings, calculations, and project specifications for accuracy and compliance.
  • Technical expertise in route selection, profiles, sag-tension charts, and transmission line tower designs.
  • Review and approve fabrication and detailed drawings for transmission line towers.
  • Implement end-to-end engineering for projects, including design, detailing, and testing.
  • Expertise in substation works, transmission line project planning, estimation, site management, and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian and international standards in all engineering activities.

Qualifications

Diploma /B. Tech/ M. Tech in Electrical engineering or related field
