Job Description

Assistant Manager:

Job Purpose: Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Finance function and implementing the company strategy. In addition, the role shall identify and implement systems, polices and processes for the Finance function which will improve financial monitoring, accountability and growth.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage and provide oversight to Finance and Accounting team members to ensure tasks are completed on time with required accuracy

Monitor the day-to-day financial operations such as procurement, sales orders, invoicing, and other financial transactions. Complete tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements

Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the Finance function

Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial and management reporting

Preparation of annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting

Oversee salary processing procedure

Management and ultimate responsibility for the Finance ERP

Provide financial and analytical support to Senior Management

Support the Senior Management for budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability

Perform adhoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation

Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness of communications and resolution of issues

Functional/Behavioral Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage and lead a team

Excellent Presentation Skills

Proactive, continuous improvement attitude

Good written and verbal communication skills

Qualification/Experience:

CA/ICWA/CFA or a master's degree in commerce

Minimum 6 years of experience in the finance domain including managing a team

Proficiency in accounting and financial software including implementation of ERP

Knowledge of financial regulations and standards

Experience in financial planning and budgeting

Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
