Role Summary

The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for supporting the overall finance and accounting functions of the Group, including management reporting, financial reporting, group consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and statutory compliance. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, effective internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in the preparation and review of management accounts and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Verify payment vouchers and bank transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
  • To coordinate and perform reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable and payable, fixed assets, taxation, PDE, and etc.
  • To monitor, update and review daily cash-flow, collections, and payment activities to ensure adequate liquidity and efficient working capital management.
  • To ensure the financial transactions are properly recorded and maintained in accordance with the reporting standards and statutory regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, legal advisors, regulatory authorities, and other professional parties on financial, taxation, financing, and compliance matters.
  • Assist in treasury functions, including cash-flow forecasting, banking facilities, loan scheduling and status.
  • Support the implementation of internal control procedures and financial policies to strengthen governance and minimize the risk.
  • Supervise and guide the Finance Executives in the day-to-day operations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification, e.g. ACCA, ICAEW, or CPA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferable in the construction, property development, real estate, or automated warehouse solutions industry.
  • Experience in a publicly listed company environment is highly preferable.
  • Proficient in IFCA accounting system and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and able to work and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
