Role Summary
JYOWEAR is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to support the design team across all stages of the creative process. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a keen eye for trends, and a passion for translating ideas into refined, wearable design. You'll work closely with the founder on everything from concept development to sampling, while gaining exposure to the fast-paced world of modern, design-led fashion.
Responsibilities
- Support the design team in developing seasonal concepts, moodboards, and color stories
- Create and update technical flats, tech packs, and line sheets
- Conduct research on trends, fabrics, trims, and silhouettes aligned with brand direction
- Assist in fabric sourcing, swatch management, and vendor communication
- Participate in fittings, document feedback, and track sample updates
- Support coordination and styling for lookbooks, campaigns, and photoshoots
- Maintain and organize the design archive, swatches, and visual references
- Collaborate with production and sampling partners to ensure quality and timelines
Qualifications
- 02 years of experience in fashion or apparel design
- Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; basic CAD knowledge is a plus
- Strong illustration and technical sketching ability
- Good understanding of fabrics, construction, and garment finishes
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in contemporary fashion and design-forward thinking
