Assistant Engineer - Metrology Quality

Your Job

Specialize in creating optical measurement system programs to support our new product development process for the DSS Division in India – GTC. Support first article inspection, capability studies and gage R&R requests from all Molex DSS entities.

Our Team

We are part of the GTC-AQP team within the DSS division (CSBU), working in a metrology lab where we carry out measurement activities for different types of Molex components.

What You Will Do

• Preparing FAI Reports and sharing them with the requester. Engaging in discussions with the requester or PDE to clarify measurement methods as necessary.
• Follow up with the requester for FAI disposition reports and ensure these reports are uploaded into our database.
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• 2-4 Years experience.
• Hands on Experience on Vision Based Metrology Equipment's (OGP, VMS, Microscope, Micro view etc.)
• Able to understand drawing specifications and requirements.
• knowledge on various types of Metrology equipment's (CMM, Roughness tester, Contour etc.)
• Strong organizational skills to anticipate, plan, organize and complete all assignments on-time.
• Good English speaking and writing skills for effective working relationship with all quality assurance and metrology Labs.
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead

Expertise with design and development of measurement system programming, metrology, product development and quality inspection

Basic knowledge of advanced quality planning experience in new product introduction environment

Excellent in conducting first article measurements, capability studies and variable Gage R&R.

Highly proficient and possess hands-on experience with optical measurement of preproduction and production product and automated optical measurement systems and programming for manufacturing

Experience with various testing methods and data acquisition instrumentation and programs

Able to travel if required (

Aware of quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP 7QC tools etc.)
