Job Description

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist in reading and understanding electrical and instrumentation drawings.
  • Support in the operation and basic maintenance of substation equipment, HT transformers (above 1000 KVA), and associated power panels.
  • Help monitor generators, APFC panels, and synchronizing systems.
  • Assist in handling electrical panels, MCCs, and modern drives (VFDs, soft starters).
  • Support in managing spare parts and maintaining records for inventory control.
  • Follow all safety, environment, and energy management protocols strictly.
  • Assist Engineers in shift troubleshooting using WCM/TPM tools.
  • Provide field-level support in handling instruments like RTDs, thermocouples, pressure, level, and flow transmitters.
  • Assist in calibration, maintenance, and basic operation of weighing systems and VFDs.
  • Support in configuration and monitoring of PID controllers for process control.
  • Basic understanding or hands-on practice in PLCs (Siemens S7 series), SCADA systems (RSLogix / WIN CC).
  • Support Engineers in TPM and WCM project documentation and implementation.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with CEIG and local electrical inspectorate regulations.

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering (preferred) OR
  • BE / BTech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Experience

  • 3-4 years of experience in Electrical Maintenance, preferably in a Continuous Process or Cement Industry.
  • Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and internship/project experience in similar domains may also be considered.

Competencies

Technical:

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Awareness of safety standards and energy management systems
  • Exposure to TPM/WCM activities is a plus
  • Understanding of PLCs, SCADA, and field instruments

  • Good coordination and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and proactive attitude
  • Strong support and follow-up capabilities
