Job Description

The MTB Support Staff will assist in the safe and effective functioning of the mobile therapy bus, supporting clients with mobility needs, maintaining the bus, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in boarding and alighting the bus, including handling wheelchairs, walking aids, and ensuring safety.
  • Support the movement and parking of the mobile therapy bus.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the bus (seats, floors, windows, ramps, lifts).
  • Perform basic safety checks of the bus and mobility equipment before and after trips.
  • Report mechanical, safety, or client-related issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Exhibit patience, empathy, and compassion while interacting with clients with disabilities, elderly, or children.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, dignity, and respect for clients at all times.
  • Assist the MTB team during therapy sessions or community outreach activities as required.
  • Undertake other duties assigned by the Project Coordinator.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Secondary education (Class 10th) minimum.
  • Preferably holds a heavy vehicle license.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Minimum 35 years of relevant work experience in community-based projects.
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities is preferred.
  • Physically fit to assist clients with mobility needs.
  • Knowledge of basic safety, first-aid, and emergency response or willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel with the mobile therapy bus.
