Job Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Outreach & Donor Expansion
• Develop and execute a comprehensive outreach and business development strategy aligned with institutional growth and campaign goals.
• Identify, research, and prioritize prospective corporate partners, foundations, industry leaders, and high-capacity individuals.
• Secure meetings with critical corporate, government and UHNI potential partners
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of partnership and funding opportunities.
• Represent the university in external meetings, industry events, and networking forums to expand institutional visibility
Business Development & Revenue Generation
• Cultivate corporate sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and funding collaborations.
• Work collaboratively with deans, faculty, and leadership to align academic strengths with external partnership opportunities.
• Support development of proposals, pitch materials, and partnership agreements
• Support revenue growth through sponsorships, grants, programmatic partnerships, and other growth initiatives.
• Track and report on partnership revenue, conversion rates, and pipeline activity.
Relationship Management & Stewardship
• Serve as primary liaison for select corporate and community partners.
• Coordinate executive-level meetings and partnership discussions.
• Ensure ongoing stewardship and engagement of business partners.
• Develop tailored engagement strategies for high-value funder and partners
Cross-Campus Collaboration
• Partner with academic units, research centers, and career services to identify business engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications to promote partnership successes and impact stories.
• Support advancement leadership in strategic planning and external engagement initiatives.
Data, Reporting & Performance Metrics
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activity in CRM systems.
• Monitor KPIs related to partnership growth, engagement outcomes, and revenue targets.
• Provide regular reports to advancement leadership on business development performance.
Qualifications Required
• Under graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
• 10-12 years of experience in business development, corporate partnerships, fundraising, or external relations.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing external partnerships.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and external executives.
