About the Office of the Dean of Faculty:

The Office of the Dean of Faculty oversees the functioning and welfare of Ashoka University faculty. The office coordinates with various departments for the recruitment of new faculty. It oversees the tenure and promotion process. It is responsible for the administrative management of faculty leave and sabbaticals and the annual faculty research grant.

Other aspects that fall within the purview of the office range from faculty-related data management to logistical assistance for new faculty. The office addresses day-to-day concerns that faculty may have, both within and outside the classroom.

Role and responsibilities:

The Assistant/Deputy Manager will support the Office of the Dean of Faculty in the effective administration and coordination of faculty-related processes, including but not limited to the following:

Maintain and update the faculty database and ensure accuracy of faculty-related records and documentation.

Manage and regularly update faculty web profiles in coordination with relevant internal teams.

Coordinate faculty housing processes, including allocation, communication, and liaison with accommodation teams.

Support the administration of faculty research grants, including documentation, tracking, and coordination.

Prepare and maintain faculty reports, dashboards, and data required for internal reviews and decision-making.

Coordinate and manage faculty office allocations in collaboration with campus and facilities teams.

Facilitate faculty onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition for new faculty members joining the University.

Support faculty relocation and reimbursement processes, including documentation, verification, and coordination with finance and other stakeholders.

Handle faculty reimbursements, maintain records, and ensure timely processing in line with university policies.

Provide logistical and administrative support to address day-to-day faculty-related requirements and concerns.

Assist the Dean of Faculty with routine administrative tasks, scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups as required.

Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery related to faculty administration.

Education Qualification: Graduate

Skill Sets: Accuracy and attention to detail; good communication skills, ability to liaise with other departments. Candidates with computer data entry skills, database management and content writing skills will be given preference.
