Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Kolkata for an Assistant Cook. The Assistant Cook will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, ensuring cleanliness in the kitchen area, following recipes, and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Additional duties include stocking supplies, maintaining inventory, and supporting the Head Chef in the efficient functioning of the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Basic cooking skills, understanding of food preparation, and familiarity with culinary techniques
- Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage kitchen inventory and handle food storage effectively
- Teamwork, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is a plus
- Formal culinary training or certification is an advantage
