Job Description

Role Overview

The Contract Manager will supportthe administration of upstream and downstream contracts within BousteadProjects construction business, including contracts secured by BousteadProjects E&C Pte Ltd and other relevant Boustead Group entities.

The role involves preparingcontract documentation, supporting negotiations, mitigating contractual risks,and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, compiling, and maintaining agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, major construction tender documents, and professional services agreements.
  • Work with standard construction contract forms, including RDAS, SIA, PSSCOC, FIDIC Silver Book, and FIDIC Yellow Book, incorporating appropriate risk mitigation measures.
  • Prepare, compile, and maintain main contract and subcontract documentation.
  • Support contract negotiations with counterparties.
  • Participate in contractual risk mitigation activities in accordance with organisational policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and operational groups to develop and implement best practices, contract templates, playbooks, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with guidance on departmental processes, procedures, and contract development.
  • Assist in developing and presenting internal training materials.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and comply with contract and document tracking requirements.
  • Participate in departmental and group meetings to remain informed of ongoing projects, priorities, and issues.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, preferably with a specialisation in Mechanical and/or Electrical disciplines, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered Surveyor accreditation from a recognised institution or association, such as RICS or AIQS, is strongly preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a comparable role within a construction consultancy, quantity surveying consultancy, expert witness practice, or law firm.
  • Relevant experience in semiconductor and/or data centre construction projects.
  • Strong contract administration and negotiation skills across different agreement types.
  • Familiarity with construction claims and the Security of Payment Act (SOP Act).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
