1. Position Summary
The faculty member will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students of Physiotherapy, engaging in high-quality research, providing clinical supervision, and contributing to departmental growth. The candidate should demonstrate strong academic expertise, professional ethics, and commitment to student development.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Teaching & Academics
- Deliver lectures, practical demonstrations, and clinical sessions for BPT and MPT programs.
- Develop course material, lesson plans, and assessment tools as per the curriculum.
- Conduct internal assessments, evaluate student performance, and maintain academic records.
- Supervise clinical postings, internships, and research projects.
- Use innovative teaching methods, including simulation-based and evidence-based approaches.
B. Research & Publications
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in relevant physiotherapy specializations.
- Publish research papers in indexed journals (Scopus/Web of Science preferred).
- Guide UG and PG research projects.
- Apply for funded research projects and contribute to departmental research initiatives.
C. Clinical & Professional Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision in associated hospitals, OPDs, and rehabilitation centers.
- Maintain high standards of clinical teaching and evidence-based interventions.
- Participate in community outreach programs, workshops, and clinical camps.
D. Administrative & Departmental Duties
- Assist in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and quality assurance.
- Contribute to departmental committees and university academic activities.
- Participate in faculty development programs, seminars, and conferences.
- Support student mentorship, career guidance, and academic advising.
3. Required Qualifications
Assistant Professor
- MPT degree in relevant specialization (Musculoskeletal, Sports, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary, Pediatrics, etc.) from a recognized university.
- Minimum 23 years of teaching or clinical experience preferred.
- Research publications desirable.
Associate Professor
- MPT + PhD in Physiotherapy (preferred/required as per regulatory norms).
- Minimum 8+ years of teaching and research experience.
- Strong publication record in indexed journals.
Professor
- MPT + PhD (mandatory).
- Minimum 1012 years of academic and research experience.
- Significant publications, guided research scholars, and proven leadership in academia.
